Announcement
Trentar Private Limited, the technology and infrastructure arm of the Dorf Ketal Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra on 6 October 2026 during the Invest Maharashtra initiative. The MoU, handed over by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, outlines a proposed investment of ₹30,000 crore (approximately US$3.3 billion) to develop a 500 MW Green Integrated Hyperscale Data Center park in the state.
Project Details
The planned campus will be built as a modular, scalable facility targeting at least 51 % of its electricity from renewable sources. Trentar will incorporate in‑house energy‑storage systems and evaluate treated‑water reuse together with water‑efficient cooling technologies, the specific choices to be finalised during detailed design and feasibility studies. The centre is intended to support big‑data analytics, large‑scale data processing, high‑performance computing, and artificial‑intelligence and machine‑learning workloads, thereby enhancing India’s sovereign digital infrastructure.
Government Support
Maharashtra will provide coordination for all applicable permissions, registrations, approvals, clearances and incentives in line with prevailing policies and regulations. The state has issued a Letter of Intent confirming the support and incentives that will be extended to the project.
