Overview
Tridiagonal.ai Pvt. Ltd. (T.AI), the dedicated AI arm of Tridiagonal Group, announced that it has entered into the third Joint Development Agreement (JDA) together with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. and IBM Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. The JDA is intended to advance PETRONAS Carigali’s flagship TriCipta AI platform across the upstream value chain.
Scope of Collaboration
Under the agreement Tridiagonal.ai will provide engineering domain‑driven artificial‑intelligence solutions, physics‑informed models and Decision Intelligence capabilities. These tools are targeted at surface equipment optimisation, maintenance reliability and asset‑integrity decision workflows, thereby supporting production optimisation, reliability risk assessment and equipment‑behaviour understanding in upstream operations.

The signing ceremony was attended by PETRONAS Carigali Chief Executive Officer Hazli Sham Kassim, Head of TriCipta AI Ina Czarina Arief Tham, IBM Consulting Malaysia Managing Partner Deva K Theyventheran, Tridiagonal.ai Chief Executive Officer Pravin Jain, Tridiagonal.ai Co‑Founder and Chief Operating Officer Praveen Kapse, and IBM Malaysia General Manager & Technology Leader Dickson Woo. The event was held in Pune, Maharashtra, India and Houston, Texas, United States.
