TripGain, an AI‑powered enterprise Travel & Expense (T&E) management platform headquartered in Bengaluru, India, announced the launch of its TripGain MCP Server on 4 August 2026 at the GBTA Convention 2026. The MCP Server merges the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), introduced by Anthropic in 2024, with TripGain’s proprietary API Gateway to create an agentic AI infrastructure that connects AI assistants directly to the TripGain platform.

The solution enables employees to book policy‑compliant business travel, capture and submit employee expenses, manage vendor expense reconciliation, and approve travel and expense requests through natural‑language conversation with an AI assistant. Unlike typical AI connectors that only retrieve information, the MCP Server executes enterprise workflows while leveraging TripGain’s policy engine, approval workflows, supplier connectivity, inventory aggregation, and financial controls.

The MCP Server is AI‑assistant agnostic; any MCP‑compatible assistant can be integrated, eliminating the need for organisations to build or maintain individual supplier APIs, custom approval logic, or compliance configurations. Integration is achieved via a secure endpoint with OAuth authentication, and the service is remotely hosted by TripGain, allowing rapid enablement without additional infrastructure.

TripGain’s platform currently serves more than 400 organisations and processes over US$1 billion in annual travel and expense transactions. By abstracting supplier integrations and global inventory connections through its API Gateway, the MCP Server provides a single intelligent pipe to a marketplace‑driven travel ecosystem, granting enterprises broad access to travel suppliers while maintaining policy enforcement and governance.

Sudheer Reddy, Founder and CEO of TripGain, stated that “Enterprise AI is moving beyond answering questions to completing real business work,” and emphasized that the combined MCP and API Gateway “allows organisations to extend their AI strategy into enterprise travel and expenses without rebuilding existing systems.” The press release lists Disha Chatterjee, Senior Content Marketer, as the media contact (email disha@tripgain.com).
