TripGain Launches AI Spend Copilot

TripGain, an AI‑powered travel and expense management platform headquartered in Bengaluru, announced on July 2, 2026 the launch of AI Spend Copilot, a conversational intelligence layer that allows finance, travel and business teams to ask natural‑language questions about their spend data. The capability delivers real‑time, contextual answers on budget utilization, policy leakage, cost‑center performance, vendor spend and savings opportunities, eliminating the need for static dashboards, manual reports or multiple disconnected systems.

According to TripGain’s own study The State of Business Travel in India 2026, nearly seven in ten finance and travel leaders say spend visibility remains a challenge despite ongoing digital investments. By turning complex analysis into simple prompts, Spend Copilot aims to reduce reconciliation cycles, improve governance and accelerate cost‑control decisions.

> "The next wave of enterprise AI will not be defined by more dashboards. It will be defined by how quickly people can get the right answer and act on it," said Ranga Prasad Badasheshi, Co‑founder of TripGain. "Finance and travel teams sit on a large amount of spend data, but too much of it remains trapped inside reports, workflows, and disconnected systems. Spend Copilot is our attempt to change that by making enterprise spend intelligence conversational, contextual, and actionable."

Early deployments confirm the value proposition. Shalini Francis, Senior Lead Corporate Travel Specialist at Vee Healthtek, noted that tasks that previously required days of manual data extraction, reconciliation and reporting can now be completed in minutes, improving turnaround times and reducing operational overhead.

TripGain reports that more than 10% of its customers already use the earlier Travel Copilot product, which introduced conversational AI into corporate travel booking. Over the past year the company has more than doubled its annual travel transaction volume and now processes over two million expense claims each year. New enterprise customers added during this period include Marlabs, Phillips Machine Tools, Ozonetel, Swades Foundation and Indus Valley Partners, expanding its footprint across multiple industries.

The firm will demonstrate its latest AI innovations at the GBTA Convention 2026 in Chicago from August 3‑5, where global business‑travel and expense leaders will convene.
