Truecaller announced the launch of Truecaller Scam Checker, a new web and Android destination designed to let users quickly assess whether a link, phone number, or message may be part of a scam.
Features
The solution consolidates multiple scam‑detection capabilities, allowing users to (i) check a web link for malicious or phishing characteristics, (ii) look up a phone number to see detection signals and community reports, (iii) search Scamfeed reports for similar scams, and (iv) describe a concern in free text to receive relevant checks on links, numbers and related community reports. These functions address the three typical elements of a suspicious message – a number, a link and a story – within seconds.
Expansion Plans
Truecaller indicated that future enhancements will include broader coverage of scam techniques, the ability to upload screenshots for richer analysis, user authentication mechanisms, and additional capabilities slated for near‑term release.

Availability
The Scam Checker is initially available in India on the Truecaller Android app, with global access through the Truecaller website. Support for iOS and rollout to additional markets are planned for a later date.
