The scooter features the TVS SMARTXONNECT platform providing enhanced navigation system, telematics unit, anti-theft, geofencing features, crash/fall alert and many more. It includes intelligent Bluetooth- and cloud-enabled connected features such as Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Geofencing, Ride and Charging statistics.
Market Context and Strategy
The African two-wheeler market is growing at roughly 7-10% CAGR through 2030, while the electric two-wheeler market is growing much faster with forecasts ranging from 15% to 25% CAGR through 2030-31. EV penetration is still low relative to the size of the industry but conditions are rife for growth.
