United Airlines flight attendants approved a five‑year contract with an average 31% base‑pay increase by August.
The deal, covering about 30,000 attendants, earned 82% approval and marks the first pay hike in nearly six years.
It adds roughly 7‑8% total compensation, $741 million back pay, boarding‑pay provisions, red‑eye flight limits, and “sit‑pay” for long disruptions.
Ken Diaz, president of the United chapter of the Association of Flight Attendants, said the contract will immediately improve new hires’ lives.
