Unity Stock Rises 8% After Meta Extension

Unity Software shares jumped about 8% on April 8, 2026 after announcing an extension of its multi‑year VR partnership with Meta.
The extended agreement deepens Unity’s support for Meta’s VR platform, facilitating easier development, deployment and growth of apps and games for developers.
Unity COO Alex Blum said Unity powers most of Meta’s VR titles; Meta VP Ryan Cairns called Unity a critical VR partner.
