Uno Minda Board approved ₹550 crore investment for second 4W EV powertrain plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar via subsidiary UMAIPL.
New facility will manufacture Electric Drive Units and Dedicated Hybrid Transmission systems, backed by anchor customer orders.
Plant expected to be commissioned by Q2 FY28, complementing first Pune facility starting H2 FY27 operations.
Investment to be funded through mix of debt and equity, phased over two years.
