Program Overview

The University of Western Australia, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, has launched a fully online Master of Business Administration – Global (MBA‑Global) aimed at working professionals. The programme is structured as a progressive two‑year pathway that allows participants to earn dual credentials without pausing their careers.

Year 1 – Professional Certificate

In the first year, students complete six modules delivered by IIM Kozhikode, earning a Professional Certificate in Advanced Business Management. Participants also receive 36 credits through UWA’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which count directly toward the master’s degree.

Year 2 – MBA Completion

The second year consists of six modules delivered by UWA, focusing on international business, global strategy, and cross‑market leadership. Successful completion awards an internationally recognised MBA‑Global degree, leveraging the academic strengths and alumni networks of both institutions.

AI‑Focused Masterclasses

Complementing the core curriculum, a series of AI‑focused masterclasses explore the application of emerging technologies across management functions. Topics include:

  • AI in Organisational Behaviour – intelligent feedback loops and emotional‑intelligence bots.
  • Building and Testing MVPs with GenAI – rapid idea‑to‑market execution in under 60 minutes.
  • GenAI for Data Analysis – integrating generative AI with statistical thinking for faster, more informed decisions.

These sessions embed AI within broader management contexts, helping students discern where AI adds value and where human judgement remains paramount.

According to McKinsey’s State of AI 2025, 88 % of organisations now use AI in at least one business function, yet only a small share report measurable business impact. This gap underscores the growing demand for professionals who can translate AI capabilities into commercial outcomes.
