The University of Western Australia (UWA), in partnership with the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode), has launched a fully online Master of Business Administration – Global, aimed at working professionals seeking cross‑functional, strategic, and global business capabilities.

Programme Structure

  • Year 1: Students complete six modules delivered by IIM Kozhikode, earning a Professional Certificate Programme in Advanced Business Management and receiving 36 credits through UWA’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) mechanism.
  • Year 2: Students undertake six additional modules delivered by UWA, focusing on international business, global strategy, and cross‑market leadership, culminating in an internationally recognised MBA – Global.

AI‑Focused Masterclasses

The curriculum incorporates a series of AI‑focused masterclasses that illustrate how emerging technologies can be embedded within broader management contexts. Topics include:

  • AI in Organisational Behaviour – from intelligent feedback loops to emotional intelligence bots.
  • Building and Testing MVPs with GenAI – rapidly taking ideas from concept to market in under 60 minutes.
  • GenAI for Data Analysis – integrating generative AI with statistical thinking to make faster, more informed business decisions.

According to McKinsey’s State of AI 2025, 88 % of organisations now use AI in at least one business function, yet only a small share report measurable business impact, underscoring the need for managers who can translate AI capabilities into commercial outcomes.
