Varroc Engineering Ltd announced the winner of its Eureka Challenge 3.0 - Ignite Innovation, the company's flagship engineering innovation competition. The initiative is aimed at nurturing next-generation engineering talent and encouraging students to develop solutions for real-world mobility challenges.

Competition Details and Winner

The winning team from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune secured the top position for its innovative solution titled "AI-Driven Design Intelligence for Early-Stage CAD Validation." The solution uses artificial intelligence to identify design issues and optimization opportunities at the early stages of product development, with the potential to help engineers reduce development cycles, improve design quality and accelerate innovation.

Participation Scale and Process

The 2026 edition received an overwhelming response with more than 25,000 registrations from undergraduate and postgraduate students across disciplines including Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Information Technology, Mechanical, Automobile Engineering and allied streams.

More than 1,800 ideas were submitted and evaluated through a rigorous multi-stage screening process. Following multiple rounds of assessment, 27 teams were shortlisted for the online presentation stage, with the top four teams advancing to the grand finale held at Varroc.

Rewards and Talent Development

In addition to rewards and industry recognition, the winning team received a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) opportunity to join Varroc in 2027, creating a direct pathway from innovation to an industry career.
