On August 6, 2026, Vasuki India announced from Mumbai that it has secured fresh capital of ₹100 crore from a single Non‑Resident Indian (NRI) investor under its second investment scheme, Vasuki XVI. The fund, classified as a SEBI Category III Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), is nearing the end of its drawdown period and has extended its fundraising timeline until December 2026.

Fundraising Plans and Scope

Vasuki India indicated that it intends to raise approximately ₹200 crore over the next few months, bringing the total targeted capital for the current fundraising cycle to about ₹300 crore. The raised capital will be deployed in Indian listed equities and select private‑equity opportunities, with an emphasis on long‑term capital preservation and risk‑adjusted returns.

Performance Track Record

Since its inception in June 2024, Vasuki XVI has delivered an outperformance of roughly 4.5% relative to the NIFTY 50 index. The flagship Vasuki India Fund, operational since October 2021, has generated a cumulative outperformance of 5.7% over the same benchmark since its launch.

Management Team

The fund was founded by Vikas Sehgal, who brings close to three decades of experience in financial services and investment banking. Recently, Vasuki welcomed Ravindra Bhandari as Fund Manager; Bhandari adds over 15 years of experience across capital markets, equity research, portfolio management, and investment banking.

Additional Offerings

Beyond its India‑focused strategy, Vasuki offers investors exposure to the global technology ecosystem through the Luxembourg‑based Vasuki Tech Fund, which targets early‑stage technology companies in sectors such as artificial intelligence, mobility, cybersecurity, sustainability, and climate technology.
