Zinc India Performance

  • Mined metal production: 268 kt in Q1 FY27 vs 265 kt in Q1 FY26 (1% YoY increase) and 315 kt in Q4 FY26 (15% QoQ decrease)
  • Saleable metal production: 260 kt in Q1 FY27 vs 250 kt in Q1 FY26 (4% YoY increase) and 282 kt in Q4 FY26 (8% QoQ decrease)
  • Refined Zinc: 213 kt (includes 3.3 kt from Hindustan Zinc Alloys) vs 202 kt in Q1 FY26 (6% increase) and 227 kt in Q4 FY26 (6% decrease)
  • Refined Lead: 47 kt vs 48 kt in Q1 FY26 (2% decrease) and 55 kt in Q4 FY26 (14% decrease)
  • Silver production: 149 metric tonnes (4.8 million ounces), flat YoY but down 16% QoQ from 176 tonnes
  • Wind power generation: 133 million units vs 134 million units in Q1 FY26 (1% decrease) but up 138% from 56 million units in Q4 FY26
  • Achieved best-ever first quarter mined metal production driven by better grades
  • Refined metal production supported by debottlenecking initiatives at Chanderiya & Dariba and 160 ktpa roaster at Debari

Zinc International Performance

  • Total mined metal: 48 kt in Q1 FY27 vs 57 kt in Q1 FY26 (14% decrease) and 49 kt in Q4 FY26 (1% decrease)
  • Gamsberg production: 45 kt, flat YoY but up 10% QoQ from 42 kt
  • Black Mountain Mining (BMM) production: 3 kt vs 11 kt in Q1 FY26 (73% decrease) and 7 kt in Q4 FY26 (61% decrease)
  • Gamsberg phase 2 production targeted to start from July 2026 onwards
  • Overall production affected as Deep's mine at Black Mountain is nearing end of life

FACOR Performance

  • Ore production: 153 kt in Q1 FY27 vs 108 kt in Q1 FY26 (41% increase) and 113 kt in Q4 FY26 (35% increase)
  • Ferro Chrome production: 29 kt vs 28 kt in Q1 FY26 (4% increase) and 30 kt in Q4 FY26 (1% decrease)
  • Achieved highest-ever ore production driven by restart of Kalarangiatta Mines and stockpiling ahead of monsoon season
  • Ferro Chrome production supported by higher mining output and increase in high-grade ore

Copper India Performance

  • Copper sales: 53 kt in Q1 FY27 vs 52 kt in Q1 FY26 (3% increase) and 55 kt in Q4 FY26 (4% decrease)
  • Silvassa plant sales volumes grew 3% YoY, marking highest first-quarter sales in last 8 years

Copper International Performance

  • Copper rod sales: 9 kt in Q1 FY27 vs 19 kt in Q1 FY26 (51% decrease) and 18 kt in Q4 FY26 (47% decrease)
  • Fujairah operations adversely impacted by closure of the Strait of Hormuz

Ports Performance (Vizag General Cargo Berth)

  • Volume discharge: 2,358 kt in Q1 FY27 vs 1,682 kt in Q1 FY26 (40% increase) and 2,002 kt in Q4 FY26 (18% increase)
  • Volume dispatch: 1,652 kt vs 1,492 kt in Q1 FY26 (11% increase) and 1,590 kt in Q4 FY26 (4% increase)
  • Achieved highest-ever discharge volume driven by improved operational efficiency & cargo flow
