[VELS Freshers' Day 2026 Celebration]
VELS Institute of Science Technology and Advanced Studies organized Freshers’ Day events across its Pallavaram, Periyapalayam, Thalambur and Thiruvanmiyur campuses in Chennai between August 3 and August 14, 2026, featuring chief guests such as Dr. Irai Anbu, Mr. Sylendra Babu, Dr. V. Ganesan and industry leaders from aviation and maritime sectors. The institute highlighted its NAAC A++ accreditation, UGC Category‑I status, a student body of over 20,000, 1,220 faculty members and more than 150 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
