Announcement

Veradermics, Incorporated (NYSE:MANE) saw its shares increase by 9% on Wednesday after the company disclosed positive Phase 2 clinical trial data for VDPHL01, an oral extended‑release minoxidil formulation intended for female pattern hair loss.

Study 207 Results

Study 207, an open‑label Phase 2 trial evaluating VDPHL01 in women with mild‑to‑moderate pattern hair loss, reported that 88.9 % of participants receiving once‑daily dosing and 90.0 % of those receiving twice‑daily dosing experienced improved or much improved outcomes at Month 6. The mean increase in non‑vellus target‑area hair count was 22.7 hairs per cm² for the once‑daily regimen and 23.3 hairs per cm² for the twice‑daily regimen at Month 6. Participants began reporting improvements in hair coverage as early as Month 2, the earliest assessment point in the study.

Safety Profile

The trial observed a favorable safety profile, with no treatment‑related serious adverse events and no adverse events of special interest of cardiac origin reported through Month 6.

Future Clinical Plans

Veradermics expects topline results from Study 306, a Phase 2/3 trial of VDPHL01 in female pattern hair loss, in the first half of 2027. The company also continues its male pattern hair loss program, anticipating topline data from Phase 3 Study 304 in the second half of 2026, and previously announced topline results from Study 302, a registration‑directed Phase 2/3 trial in male pattern hair loss, in April.

Market Implication

The positive data and the 9 % share price appreciation underscore market optimism that VDPHL01 could become the first FDA‑approved oral therapy for female pattern hair loss, pending further trial outcomes.
