Veraxa Biotech Announces New Chief Financial Officer

Veraxa Biotech AG (NASDAQ:VRXA) disclosed that Raju Willener has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, and will report to CEO and Co‑Founder Christoph Antz. Willener replaces outgoing CFO Carl von Halem.

Willener joins the company with more than 30 years of experience in global capital markets and corporate finance. Prior to this role, he served as Director of Corporate Development at Exentis Group AG and was appointed CFO of that organization in 2025, where he led merger‑and‑acquisition initiatives and overall financial strategy. His career also includes senior executive positions at major financial institutions, during which he oversaw investment portfolios exceeding CHF 30 billion in assets under management across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Educationally, Willener holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance and is qualified in Financial Risk Management. Throughout his career he has held titles such as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and Head of Corporate Finance in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Following the announcement, Veraxa Biotech’s shares increased by 4.6 % on the trading day, indicating a positive market response to the leadership change as the company advances its BiTAC antibody‑based cancer‑therapy platform and oncology pipeline.
