Verizon Cuts Several Hundred Jobs (<1% Workforce)

Verizon announced cutting several hundred employees, representing less than 1% of its total workforce.
The layoffs, the second round in six months, target staff across the U.S., especially at its Basking Ridge, NJ headquarters.
Verizon still lists over 1,000 open positions, allowing laid‑off workers to apply for internal roles.
CFO Anthony Skiadas said cost cuts will continue beyond 2026, while the layoff impact was omitted from the outlook.
