Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan Appointed Naval Chief

Government appoints Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan as the next Chief of the Naval Staff.
Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi will retire from service on May 31, 2026.
Vice Admiral Swaminathan is the 34th Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command.
He is a specialist in Communication and Electronic Warfare and a recipient of the PVSM, AVSM, and VSM.
