Vikram Solar Limited has made a regulatory disclosure pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, announcing the formal commissioning of its new manufacturing mega-facility at Gangaikondan, Tamil Nadu.
The company successfully rolled out the first solar module from this newly built greenfield manufacturing plant. The facility represents the next step in Vikram Solar's technological progression following the recent launch of its Vallam plant, bringing state-of-the-art automation and smart manufacturing capabilities.

Strategic Expansion Plans
The Gangaikondan facility is a cornerstone of Vikram Solar's long-term vision to build a fully integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem in India. The expansion roadmap includes:
- Establishment of 9 GW solar cell manufacturing capacity by FY27
- Additional 3 GW solar cell capacity expansion by FY28
- Addition of 12 GW wafer and ingot manufacturing capacity by FY29-30
The integrated manufacturing model aims to strengthen supply chain resilience, enhance quality control, reduce logistics and ancillary costs, and increase domestic value addition.
