VinFast India – Federal Bank Dealer Financing Partnership

On 21 August 2026, VinFast India, the Indian subsidiary of Vietnam‑based EV maker VinFast (NASDAQ: VFS), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Federal Bank Limited (NSE: FEDERALBNK) in Gurugram, Haryana. The MOU was executed by Mr Tapan Ghosh, CEO of VinFast Asia, and Ms Kumkum Jain, Additional Senior Vice‑President of Federal Bank.

The agreement provides customised inventory‑financing solutions to VinFast’s authorised dealer network, enabling dealers to optimise working capital, maintain healthy vehicle inventory and respond efficiently to growing customer demand. Federal Bank will leverage its financial strength and nationwide reach, including over 1,600 banking outlets, to support the dealers.

Federal Bank’s total business stood at ₹5.97 lakh crore as of 30 June 2026, and the bank also operates representative offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and an IFSC Banking Unit at GIFT City.

VinFast highlighted that the partnership complements its broader strategy of building a comprehensive electric‑mobility ecosystem in India through financing, charging infrastructure, after‑sales service and retail collaborations. The company recently opened its 60th 3S dealership and remains on track to reach 75 dealerships across the country by the end of 2026.

VinFast’s product portfolio includes electric SUVs, e‑scooters and e‑buses, and the firm continues to expand manufacturing, retail and customer‑support infrastructure, including a plant in Tamil Nadu.
