VinFast announced that it has signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) with more than 50 e‑motorcycle dealer partners to create a dedicated distribution network for its e‑motorcycle products in India. The signing ceremony was held at VinFast’s Manufacturing Complex in Hai Phong, Vietnam, during a visit by the Indian dealer partners.
Network Expansion Details
Under the LOIs, the partners will jointly establish over 50 e‑motorcycle showrooms across 34 cities in 15 Indian states and union territories. The covered regions include Delhi NCR, Rajasthan and Punjab in the north; Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh in central India; Maharashtra and Gujarat in the west; Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh in the south; as well as West Bengal and Odisha in the east.
Supporting Infrastructure
VinFast India will also develop charging infrastructure and strengthen after‑sales services to support customers throughout the ownership journey, as stated by its CEO.
Market Context
India remains the world’s largest two‑wheeler market, registering 21.41 million two‑wheelers in fiscal year 2025‑26, of which electric vehicles accounted for only 6.54 percent, indicating substantial room for electrification.
Company Background
VinFast (NASDAQ: VFS) is a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, one of Vietnam’s largest conglomerates, and is a pure‑play EV manufacturer offering electric SUVs, e‑scooters and e‑buses. The company entered India’s green mobility market in 2025, initially focusing on distribution, manufacturing and assembly of electric cars, and is now expanding into the e‑motorcycle segment.
