Press Release Overview

Gurugram, Haryana, India – On Monday, 31 August 2026, VinFast announced the Indian‑spec VF 7 electric SUV, highlighting features designed to improve long‑distance family travel in the country’s hot climate.

The VF 7 is built on a 2,840 mm wheelbase with a flat floor, delivering a spacious cabin that allows rear passengers, especially children, to stretch comfortably. The electric powertrain eliminates engine noise, creating a quieter interior that reduces vibration and facilitates rest during highway journeys.

A key comfort innovation is remote HVAC control via the VinFast smartphone app, enabling users to pre‑cool the cabin 10‑20 minutes before entry, eliminating the need to turn the AC to maximum after stepping into a hot vehicle. Depending on the variant, the VF 7 also offers ventilated front seats, dual‑zone air‑conditioning, an air ionizer, and PM1.0 filtration.

Charging capabilities include DC fast charging that raises the battery from 10 % to 70 % in approximately 26‑28 minutes, with exact times varying by Indian variant and charging conditions. VinFast is providing free charging at its V‑GREEN charging stations across India until 31 March 2029. V‑GREEN is expanding its fast‑charging network in partnership with RoadGrid India, targeting high‑demand locations such as HPCL retail outlets, smart‑city sites and other strategic points.

The VF 7 offers a driving range of up to 496 km, depending on the specific Indian variant, reducing the need to plan trips around charging stops. Ownership benefits include free scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 km, whichever occurs first.

Financial incentives are part of VinFast’s India EV transition programme: eligible customers switching from an internal‑combustion vehicle to a VF 7 receive a subsidy ranging from INR 175,000 to INR 214,000, varying by variant.

Higher‑trim versions add premium features such as a head‑up display, 360‑degree surround‑view monitoring and advanced driver‑assistance systems (ADAS).
