VinFast VF 7 Launch and Features
VinFast, a subsidiary of Vietnam’s Vingroup JSC, announced the Indian‑spec VinFast VF 7 electric SUV, emphasizing family‑friendly attributes for long road trips. The vehicle boasts a 2,840 mm wheelbase and a flat floor, creating a spacious cabin that accommodates adults and children comfortably. Depending on the variant, the VF 7 delivers a driving range of up to 496 km on a single charge.
The electric powertrain eliminates engine noise, resulting in a quieter cabin environment. Users can pre‑condition the interior climate via a smartphone app, allowing the HVAC system to cool the cabin 10‑20 minutes before entry. Higher‑spec variants also include ventilated front seats, dual‑zone air‑conditioning, an air ionizer, and PM1.0 filtration for improved air quality.
Charging convenience is highlighted with DC fast‑charging capability that raises the state‑of‑charge from 10 % to 70 % in approximately 26‑28 minutes, subject to variant and charging conditions. VinFast further incentivises owners by offering free charging at its V‑Green charging stations across India until 31 March 2029. V‑Green is collaborating with partners such as RoadGrid India to expand fast‑charging infrastructure at high‑demand locations, including HPCL retail outlets, smart‑city sites, and other strategic points.
Ownership benefits include three years or 36,000 km (whichever occurs first) of free scheduled maintenance. Additionally, VinFast’s India EV transition programme provides eligible customers switching from internal‑combustion vehicles with a financial support ranging from INR 175,000 to INR 214,000, varying by VF 7 variant.
Higher‑end VF 7 models also feature a head‑up display, 360‑degree surround‑view monitoring, and advanced driver‑assistance systems, reinforcing the vehicle’s positioning as a comfortable, technology‑rich family SUV.
