VinFast (NASDAQ: VFS), a subsidiary of Vietnam’s Vingroup JSC, announced the launch of the VF6 Earth electric SUV for the Indian market, priced below Rs 20 lakh. The vehicle is equipped with seven airbags as standard and has earned a five‑star Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) rating for both adult and child occupant protection. Safety and driver‑assist technologies are included at no extra cost, comprising electronic stability control (ESC), anti‑lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake‑force distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), traction control (TCS), hill‑start assist, auto‑hold, blind‑spot detection, a 360‑degree rear‑view camera and front/rear parking sensors. The SUV measures 4,241 mm in overall length with a 2,730 mm wheelbase, providing sufficient cabin space for a family of five while remaining maneuverable on crowded Indian streets. VinFast is offering complimentary charging at eligible V‑Green stations until 31 March 2029, free maintenance for three years or 36,000 km (whichever occurs first), a vehicle warranty of seven years or 160,000 km, and a battery warranty of ten years or 200,000 km, again whichever limit is reached first. The company highlighted its broader strategy of expanding its global distribution network and increasing manufacturing capacity across key markets, including North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with the VF6 Earth positioned as an affordable, safety‑focused electric family SUV for Indian consumers.
