Vipul Organics Limited announced through a regulatory filing under SEBI Regulation 30 that its membrane unit, ADIMEM Technologies, has acquired an advanced industrial membrane sheet manufacturing platform from Aquaporin, Denmark. The acquisition was completed through a competitive bidding process.
The acquired platform consists of precision membrane casting, coating and drying infrastructure, along with associated process-control and manufacturing systems. This is the same production-grade platform that Aquaporin used for its own membrane development and production. The infrastructure will be relocated to ADIMEM's manufacturing facility in Sayakha, Gujarat.
This acquisition strengthens ADIMEM's in-house membrane manufacturing capabilities, bringing advanced casting and coating infrastructure to a scale and reliability comparable to established global players. The company states that for advanced Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Nanofiltration (NF) membranes, performance depends as much on precise, repeatable control of manufacturing parameters as on membrane chemistry.
ADIMEM is described as already being a commercial membrane business with capabilities spanning indigenous membrane R&D, product development, element manufacturing, quality control, performance testing and application engineering. This acquisition represents a further step in vertically integrating the membrane value chain in India.
The strengthened platform will support ADIMEM's portfolio across RO, NF, UF, MF and MBR technologies, serving applications including industrial water treatment, wastewater recycling, desalination and specialised process separations.
Management commentary included statements from Mr. Vipul P. Shah, Managing Director, who stated: "This acquisition is an important step in our vision of building a globally competitive membrane technology business from India" and that it "meaningfully strengthens our vertical integration and supports the Make in India vision." Dr. Vatsal Shah, who leads ADIMEM Technologies, commented: "Membrane performance is won as much in the precision of casting, coating and drying as it is in chemistry. This platform gives us exactly that kind of advanced, production-proven infrastructure."
The announcement reinforces Vipul Organics' strategy of expanding into high-technology, sustainability-driven businesses. The company ended financial year 2025-26 with revenues of ₹175.4 Crore and has three manufacturing facilities spread across Maharashtra and Gujarat with a global footprint in over 50 countries.
