Vipul Organics Limited announced the commencement of commercial production at its greenfield facility in Sayakha, Gujarat. The production start was marked by a formal Muhurat ceremony on 20th August 2026, signaling the transition from construction to commercial operations.
The company is consolidating its pigment manufacturing operations from its Tarapur facility in Maharashtra into the new Sayakha facility as part of a broader footprint-rationalization exercise.
Facility Details
The Sayakha facility is located on an industrial plot of 24,633.11 square meters acquired from the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC). The facility is situated within Gujarat's Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR) and is strategically located on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, close to the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor and adjacent to Dahej Port.
Production Capacity
The plant has been designed with the potential to support over 3,600 MT of annual pigment production. The facility will begin with initial production of approximately 1,800 MT of pigments in the first phase.
Additional Operations
The Sayakha site also hosts the membrane manufacturing operations of the company's unit, AdiMem Technologies, which commenced commercial sales of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes earlier in 2026.
Management Commentary
Mr. Vipul P. Shah, Managing Director, stated that the facility will expand pigment powder capacity, bring membrane and solvent dyes capabilities under one roof, and provide a port-adjacent base to serve domestic and international customers. He expects the facility to become a meaningful contributor to both capacity and revenue diversification as production stabilizes over the coming quarters, with scaling up planned through FY 2026-27.
Context
The commissioning follows the company's recent exclusive European distribution partnership with Omya Group for its pigment ranges and the commercial launch of indigenously developed membrane solutions. Vipul Organics ended FY 2025-26 with standalone revenues of ₹175.40 crore.
