He is a 1990 batch officer of the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS)
Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA)
Educational background: Alumnus of St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi and law graduate
Brings over three decades of experience in Defence Finance and Public Administration
Previous key positions held: Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in Department of Science and Technology; Joint Secretary in Department of Heavy Industries; Finance Manager (Acquisition Wing) in Ministry of Defence; Director in Ministry of Information and Broadcasting
Defence Accounts Department roles: Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pensions), Prayagraj; Joint CGDA; Special CGDA
Represented India at international training forums including University of Cambridge, United Kingdom and George C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies, Germany
