Convocation Overview
VIT Bhopal University conducted its 7th Annual Convocation on 6 October 2026 in Sehore, conferring degrees on 3,571 graduates across a range of programmes.

The ceremony was attended by General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM (Retd.), former Chief of the Army Staff and architect of Operation Sindoor, who served as Chief Guest, and Dr. Vinod Kumar, Director of the Promotion Directorate at the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN‑SPACe), who was the Guest of Honour. University leadership included Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan, Vice President Dr. Sankar Viswanathan, Assistant Vice President Ms. Kadhambari S. Viswanathan, Trustee Ms. Ramani Balasundaram, Vice‑Chancellor Prof. Satish Kumar Modh, Registrar Dr. Gyan Prakash Mishra and Pro‑Vice‑Chancellor Dr. T. B. Sridharan.
Academic Awards and Recognitions
Twenty‑one meritorious students received Gold Medals in programmes such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Design, Aerospace Engineering, Bio Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Additionally, thirty‑one students graduating under the STARS (Support the Advancement of Rural Students) Scheme were recognised; the scheme provides fully funded education, accommodation and meals to selected district toppers from government schools in Madhya Pradesh.
Degree Distribution
The degrees awarded comprised 3,062 Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) graduates, 72 Master of Technology (M.Tech) graduates, 156 Integrated M.Tech graduates, 30 Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduates, 142 Master of Computer Applications (MCA) graduates, 48 Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) graduates, 3 Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) graduates, 12 Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) graduates, 8 Master of Science (M.Sc) graduates and 38 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students.
Placement Outcomes
University officials reported that more than 80 % of the graduating cohort secured employment, with the highest salary package reaching ₹70 lakh per annum. Over 700 students received Dream or Super Dream offers from recruiters.

Institutional Background
VIT Bhopal University, established in 2017 in Madhya Pradesh, is part of the Vellore Institute of Technology group. The campus spans 300 acres and offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across engineering, management, sciences and allied disciplines. The university operates a 100 % doctoral‑qualified faculty and the CALTECH initiative, a technology‑driven teaching model integrating industry practice, research exposure and experiential learning.
