VNT Strengthens Focus on High-Power EV Charging for Fleet Electrification
Gurgaon, India – 18 June 2026 – VNT issued a press release announcing that it is intensifying its efforts to supply high‑power AC and DC electric‑vehicle (EV) charging systems for commercial and industrial fleets in India. The announcement references rising fuel costs, sustainability targets and government‑led electrification programmes such as the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme and various state‑level EV policies, which are driving fleet operators toward electrification.
VNT’s product portfolio now covers 3.3 kW AC chargers intended for residential and commercial use and DC fast‑charging units capable of delivering up to 1.4 MW. The company states that these chargers can serve electric passenger cars, buses, trucks, mining equipment, port vehicles and other heavy‑duty applications. It notes that electric buses and long‑haul trucks typically require charging power between 240 kW and 640 kW, while industrial, port and mining operations may need solutions that approach or exceed 1 MW.
To meet the higher power requirements, VNT says its charging systems incorporate advanced thermal‑management technology, rugged enclosures and high‑performance power electronics designed to ensure reliability, efficiency and maximum uptime in harsh operating environments. The firm emphasizes that its integrated in‑house research‑and‑development and manufacturing model provides greater control over product innovation, quality and delivery schedules.
VNT also indicated that it will continue to invest in next‑generation high‑power and megawatt‑class charging technologies, expand its manufacturing capacity and deepen strategic partnerships to support the evolving needs of commercial fleet operators both domestically and in export markets.
The release concludes with a statement from Vrinda Almadi of VNT, who said that fleet electrification is moving from aspiration to action and that VNT’s focus on reliable, scalable chargers is intended to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility across passenger‑vehicle and heavy‑duty segments.
