Waymo suspended its Atlanta robotaxi service after an unoccupied vehicle entered a flooded road on Wednesday.
The pause follows a San Antonio shutdown in late April and a recall of 3,791 vehicles to fix a flood‑lane software bug.
Waymo is refining extreme‑weather operations and developing additional software updates while monitoring National Weather Service alerts before resuming service.
The service operates via Uber’s app under a partnership, and Waymo will assess road conditions before restarting in Atlanta.
