Weichai’s microgrid offering combines hybrid power stations, mobile photovoltaic systems, energy‑storage units, integrated storage‑charging modules, SOFC power generation systems and generator sets powered by diesel, gas or heavy fuel oil. The solution is positioned to serve islands, industrial parks and data centres, delivering a one‑stop, deployable and closed‑loop power and energy service. In the conventional power‑generation segment, the company restructured the French firm Baudouin in 2009 and introduced the M Series large‑bore generators, covering a power range from 1,250 kWe to 5,000 kWe. Notably, the 5 MW high‑speed diesel generator set model 20M61 is described as the world’s first of its class, achieving world‑class starting and loading capabilities.
