Wonderla Off‑Campus League (WOCL) Overview
Wonderla Holidays Ltd, India’s largest amusement‑park operator, announced the launch of the Wonderla Off‑Campus League (WOCL), a five‑city inter‑college championship that runs from 5 August to 11 September. The league spans Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi and Bhubaneswar, with colleges competing in a season‑long points race within each city.
Prize Structure and Daily Rewards
The college that accumulates the highest points in each city will receive a rolling trophy and sponsorship worth Rs 13 Lacs. Throughout the season, participants can win daily prizes, including an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and weekly headphone giveaways. Additionally, a College Creator Challenge invites students to post Instagram reels of their Wonderla experience, tagging @wonderla_in with #WonderlaOffCampus for a chance to win the iPhone 17 Pro Max and other weekly rewards; entries are judged on reel quality and creativity (terms and conditions apply).
Competition Format
The WOCL combines ride‑based challenges that test nerves and reflexes with skill‑based games that reward strategy and teamwork. Formats include solo events for individual glory and team events played in pairs. The competition culminates each week with Treasure Hunt Thursdays, a park‑wide digital hunt that offers the highest point values and can dramatically shift city standings in a single evening.
Operational and Safety Details
COO Dheeran Choudhary stated that running a championship inside a live amusement park is “an operational sport of its own,” emphasizing that every water‑ and ride‑based challenge is supervised by trained teams and adheres to Wonderla’s standard safety protocols across all five parks. A live leaderboard on the Wonderla Off‑Campus microsite allows students to monitor their college’s position in real time, even after leaving the park.
Marketing Vision
Vice President – Marketing & Growth Pallavi Nayak explained that the campaign aims to blend the competitive spirit of college life with Wonderla’s energy, creating a platform for youth to showcase talent, passion and rivalry. She highlighted that the initiative is intended to build connections with the next generation and extend memorable experiences beyond the parks.
Registration and Participation
Ticket bookings remain open throughout the season, and students can register for WOCL at any of the five Wonderla parks. The championship concludes on 11 September, when the top college from each city will be crowned champion, receiving the Rs 13 Lacs sponsorship and the rolling trophy.
