Woxsen University and XPO Ink Three‑Year MoU for Industry‑Integrated Learning

On October 21, 2026, in Hyderabad, India, Woxsen University – a private university in Telangana with a 200‑acre campus offering programmes in Business, Technology, Arts & Design, Architecture, Law and Liberal Arts – announced a Memorandum of Understanding with XPO, Inc., a global leader in asset‑based less‑than‑truckload (LTL) freight transportation headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut. XPO moves 16 billion pounds of freight annually, serves 55,000 customers through 586 locations, and employs 38,000 staff across North America and Europe.

The MoU, effective for an initial three‑year period with the option of extension by mutual consent, aims to strengthen industry‑academia collaboration and expand experiential learning opportunities for Woxsen students. Under the agreement, students will gain merit‑based access to trainee programmes, live industry projects, internships, industry visits, and expert interactions with XPO professionals in India. XPO will also conduct pre‑placement talks, employer interactions and secure a preferred recruitment slot during the university’s placement season.

Curriculum relevance will be enhanced through XPO’s inputs on emerging industry requirements and the design and delivery of industry‑led modules incorporated into Woxsen’s Applied Learning & Industry Interface pathway, specifically 12 value‑added credit courses. Faculty engagement is also covered: Woxsen faculty may undertake 4‑to‑6‑week industry projects or engagements at XPO’s Indian operations, gaining exposure to emerging technologies and business practices. Additionally, the partnership will support management development programmes, customised executive education and certification programmes aligned with XPO’s learning‑and‑development needs. XPO subject‑matter experts will participate in guest lectures and knowledge‑sharing sessions, while dedicated representatives from both organisations will coordinate activities and explore further collaboration.

Speaking on the MoU, Dr V. J. Byra Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Woxsen University, described the partnership with the Fortune 500 giant as a strategic move to deliver disruptive, industry‑integrated education that equips students with practical skills for high‑demand roles. Sameer Shaikh, Head of XPO India and Senior Director, Financial Shared Services & Technology, highlighted XPO’s commitment to building the workforce of the future through meaningful learning experiences that bridge classroom knowledge with real‑world business challenges.
