Xiaomi EV Delivery Surge and Share Reaction
On Monday, 2 November 2026, Xiaomi’s Hong Kong‑listed shares climbed 6.3% to HK$28.14 by 05:12 GMT following the company’s announcement that electric‑vehicle deliveries in October surpassed 50,000 units, the highest monthly figure recorded this year. This October milestone marks only the second occasion the firm has delivered more than 50,000 vehicles in a month, the first being December 2025 when 50,212 units were shipped.
The company disclosed that it had delivered approximately 336,490 vehicles during the first ten months of 2026, which corresponds to roughly 61% of its full‑year target of 550,000 vehicles. Monthly delivery volumes have shown a steady rise, moving from over 30,000 units in August to over 40,000 units in September, and then exceeding the 50,000‑unit threshold in October.
Xiaomi highlighted that the EV business is being expanded as part of a broader strategy to diversify away from its traditional smartphone operations and to compete more aggressively in China’s highly competitive electric‑vehicle market.
