Partnership Overview

On July 13, 2026, in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, XLRI Leadership Education and Development (XLEAD), the executive‑education arm of XLRI – Xavier School of Management, formalised a strategic partnership with Dale Carnegie India, a unit of Walchand PeopleFirst Limited, through a Memorandum of Understanding. The MoU aims to integrate Dale Carnegie’s globally recognised behavioural and leadership development expertise into XLRI’s management education and executive learning programmes.

Programme Details

Under the agreement, XLRI and Dale Carnegie India will jointly design and deliver structured, industry‑relevant programmes that address the growing demand for human capabilities such as communication, influence, emotional intelligence, trust, executive presence and ethical leadership. The curriculum will cover business communication, executive presence, influencing and persuasion, business storytelling, executive coaching, presentation effectiveness and public speaking. Delivery will be offered through in‑person, live‑online and blended learning formats, and participants will receive industry‑recognised certifications upon completion.

Leadership Perspectives

Dr. (Fr.) Sebastian George, Director of XLRI, emphasized that “competence without character is incomplete” and that the labour market rewards individuals who can think clearly, communicate with empathy and lead with integrity—qualities that machines cannot replicate. He noted that the partnership aligns with XLRI’s long‑standing philosophy of “Management with a Human Face.” Pallavi Jha, Chairperson and Managing Director of Dale Carnegie India, stated that the collaboration brings a historic legacy of behavioural excellence into XLRI’s classrooms and that such excellence will be among the most important career accelerators for professionals in the years ahead.

Strategic Significance

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to preparing leaders who can navigate AI‑enabled, digitally transformed workplaces. By combining XLRI’s academic rigour with Dale Carnegie’s practical behavioural development, the initiative seeks to produce professionals capable of creating meaningful impact across industries and society, reinforcing the importance of adaptability, people‑centric leadership and ethical decision‑making in the future of work.
