Xobin released its Human vs AI Skills Report: 2026 Mid‑Year Edition, authored by Founder‑CEO Guruprakash Sivabalan. The study analyses data up to 30 June 2026, encompassing 683 skill groups, 113 leadership scorecards from 92 employers, and thousands of technical assessment requests.

AI Delegability Findings

  • Overall, 72 % of the 683 skill groups are fully or partially delegable to AI under at least one tested model.
  • Delegability is highest for analytical reasoning (90‑100 %) and lowest for operations and execution (≈28 %). Leadership skills register below 50 % delegability.
  • Partial delegation still requires a human to frame the task, review AI output and manage exceptions; the report does not quantify jobs eliminated.

Leadership Scorecard Insights

  • Emotional‑quotient (EQ) criteria dominate, averaging 52 % of the weight across 113 scorecards, compared with 48 % for all other criteria combined.
  • The emphasis on EQ places interpersonal capability at the core of formal leadership fit.

Technical Role Skill Frequency

  • Among 35 technical roles, business‑to‑technical translation is requested by 10‑19 roles, placing it in the top five, behind AI integration/automation and analytical problem‑solving (each requested by 30‑35 roles).

Shift in Coding Assessment Formats

  • Traditional AI‑free coding tests dropped from 75‑100 % of technical assessment requests in Jan‑Jun 2024 to 25‑50 % in Jan‑Jun 2026.
  • AI‑assisted coding tasks (generate, test, debug, explain) rose from under 25 % to 50‑75 % over the same periods.

Emerging Skill Groups

  • In a set of 24 emerging skill groups, collaboration appears in 12‑17 groups in 2026, up from 4 groups in 2024.
  • Non‑linear thinking appears in 6‑11 groups in 2026, up from 0‑5 groups in 2024.

Methodology

The report combines five independent analyses: (1) AI‑delegability review of 683 skill groups against OpenAI and Anthropic models; (2) analysis of 113 leadership scorecards from 92 employers; (3) frequency review across 35 technical roles; (4) matched comparison of technical assessment types between 2024 and 2026; (5) matched two‑period comparison of 24 emerging skill groups. The units are not merged into a single sample.
