Press Release Overview
XTEP announced the launch of its X‑Run Training Camp in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, running from 11 October to 8 November 2026. The initiative is co‑developed with Sunrise Events Vietnam, the organizer of the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon, and the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation. The month‑long camp is positioned as a core activation of XTEP’s X‑RUN ecosystem, which integrates event operators, local athletics authorities, professional coaching resources and runner‑centric big‑data insights to serve Vietnam’s expanding running community.
Camp Structure and Resources
The camp assembles nearly 50 pacers, 50 athletes and a panel of professional coaches to deliver a structured, high‑impact training environment. Participants receive personalized training support based on XTEP’s analysis of training behaviours, performance patterns and pain‑points across diverse runner groups, moving beyond generic mileage‑based plans.
Product Launch – 160X 8‑Series
During the camp, XTEP showcases the complete championship‑grade 160X 8‑Series lineup, comprising the 160X 8.0 Ultra, 160X 8.0 Pro and 160X 8.0 models. These shoes are validated on world‑marathon major podiums and are made available on‑site for the first time. Supplementary performance offerings mentioned include the 260X and 360X series, which address speed‑training and mass‑recreational runner needs respectively.
Elite Athlete Performances
XTEP brand ambassador Feng Peiyou set a landmark personal best of 2:05:58 at the 2026 Tokyo Marathon, breaking China’s men’s marathon national record. Additionally, XTEP‑supported athlete Tebello Ramakongoana raced in the 160X 8.0 Pro at the 2026 Sydney Marathon, finishing third with a time of 2:04:57 and setting a new course record.
Extended Ecosystem Activities
The X‑RUN ecosystem also includes the global PB Master Program, which provides performance‑focused resources for marathon‑driven athletes across Southeast Asia. Beyond the training sessions, XTEP will operate product trial zones, professional gear consultations and community activations at the Marathon Expo on 4‑5 December 2026, a flagship component of the 9th edition of the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon.
Stakeholder Quote
Mr. Nguyen Chi Thien, Commercial Director of Sunrise Events Vietnam, said, “We truly appreciate XTEP's collaboration in launching the X‑Run Training Camp, giving runners access to scientific training methods, better fitness and a training plan that fits them.
