1&1 First‑Half Earnings Update
Shares of German telecommunications company 1&1 gained 5.5 % on Friday following the release of its first‑half financial results. The company reported that first‑half EBITDA rose 5.1 % to €382.7 million (approximately $440.87 million) and that EBIT increased sharply by 61.1 % to €111.3 million. Customer contracts fell by 140,000 during the period, a decline attributed primarily to fewer mobile‑internet contracts after adjustments to the discount tariff portfolio. 1&1 reaffirmed its 2026 outlook, projecting service‑revenue to remain at the 2025 level and EBITDA to reach roughly €800 million. The firm also indicated that operating EBITDA is expected to grow by about €100 million each year in 2027 and 2028.
