Alkem Laboratories delivered strong financial results for FY 2025-26 with consolidated revenue growth of 13.5% to ₹14,712.3 crore and EBITDA growth of 19.6% to ₹3,005.2 crore. Strategic Initiatives & Expansion

MedTech Investment

The company executed a binding term sheet on 13th February 2026 to acquire 51-55% stake in Occlutech Holding AG at total equity value of €180.70 million (₹1,951.6 crore), entirely funded through internal accruals. This strategic move enters Alkem into the structural heart devices market with 200+ patents and presence in US, Western Europe, and Japan. Occlutech recorded €50 million net sales in CY2025 with 73% gross margins.

Business Transformation

Alkem transferred its Generic Business Undertaking to wholly-owned subsidiary Alkem Wellness Limited effective 1 October 2025 for ₹5,325.1 million on slump sale basis. The board also approved amalgamation of Adroit Biomed Limited with the company under Sections 230-232 of Companies Act, 2013.

Operational Performance

Domestic business grew 9.7% while international business expanded 22.5%, with 192 cumulative ANDA filings and 1,100+ product registrations globally. The company maintained 4.1% IPM share and ranked #3 in prescription generation, with 17 brands exceeding ₹100 crore in annual sales.

ESG & Sustainability Achievements

Alkem published its comprehensive Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report, demonstrating significant environmental progress including 15% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions, 22% reduction in energy consumption, and 22.21 crore litres rainwater conservation. The company achieved 100% ISO 45001 certification coverage and spent ₹36.21 crore on CSR initiatives impacting 8.72 lakh beneficiaries. Gender diversity stood at 3.39% with target to reach 5% by FY27.

Board Changes

Dr. Vikas Gupta resigned as Chief Executive Officer effective 30th June 2026. The board recommended reappointment of Mrs. Madhurima Singh as Executive Director for 5 years (2026-2031) and ratified appointment of Mr. Suresh D. Shenoy as Cost Auditor.

AGM Details

The 52nd Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 28th August 2026 through Video Conferencing/Other Audio-Visual Means. Key agenda items include dividend approval, director reappointments, and financial statement adoption. Remote e-voting is available from 24-26 August 2026.

Risk Management & Compliance

Outlook & Future Plans

Alkem plans to focus on chronic therapies expansion and new launches including GLP-1 portfolio in India, while entering 29 new international markets. The company continues to target 42% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions by FY2033 and water neutrality by FY2030.
