Management Commentary
Augmont delivered strong quarter with 30% YoY revenue growth despite seasonally soft Q1 and challenging external environment marked by geopolitical disruptions in Middle East and elevated crude oil prices.
YoY PAT decline attributable to international sales concentration in Q1 prior year and Middle East geopolitical disruptions affecting export volumes. International sales recovered sequentially from Q4 FY26.
Company made deliberate decision to accelerate domestic scrap-gold sourcing in response to government emphasis on reducing gold imports and easing pressure on India's current account deficit. This carried near-term cost of acquisition in form of compressed margins but expanded sourcing ecosystem and strengthened partner loyalty.
Sequential improvement visible: EBITDA margins rose from 0.31% in Q4 FY26 to 0.44% in Q1 FY27, PAT margins recovered from 0.22% to 0.32%.
