Business Metrics

Assets Under Custody (AUC): Rose to ₹88.2 Lakh Crore

Demat Accounts: CDSL became the first depository to register over 18.59 crore demat accounts as on June 30, 2026, growing from 15.86 crore accounts as of June 30, 2025. Approximately 58 lakh new demat accounts were opened during the quarter.

Strategic Initiatives and Investments

Sahamati Foundation Investment: CDSL completed an investment of ₹1 crore for a 2% stake in Sahamati Foundation, an RBI-recognised Self-Regulatory Organisation for the Account Aggregator ecosystem. This is part of a broader cross-industry initiative to strengthen governance, technology infrastructure and standards for financial data sharing in India.

Management Appointments

The Governing Board approved the following executive appointments:

  • Shri Amit Mahajan as Executive Director for Vertical 1 (Critical Operations), effective June 11, 2026, for five years
  • Smt. Nayana Ovalekar as Executive Director for Vertical 2 (Regulatory, Compliance, Risk Management & Investor Grievances), effective June 19, 2026, for five years

Investor Education Initiatives

CDSL Investor Protection Fund (IPF) conducted over 40+ Investor Awareness Programmes (IAPs) across India during the quarter. The company remains committed to deepening investor education through initiatives such as Amar Chitra Katha.

CDSL Ventures Limited (CVL): Wholly owned subsidiary, India's first and largest KYC Registration Agency (KRA), offers services including Registrar & Share Transfer Agent (RTA), GST Suvidha Provider (GSP), e-Sign, and e-KYC.

Centrico Insurance Repository Limited (CIRL): Certified by IRDAI as an 'Insurance Repository'.

Countrywide Commodity Repository Limited (CCRL): Provides electronic warehouse receipts (eNWRs or eNNWRs) for commodities stored in WDRA-registered warehouses, supporting Farmers, Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs), and Manufacturers.
