The company was originally incorporated as Coastal Trawlers Private Limited, converted to a public limited company in 1985, and adopted its current name in 2005.

Business Segments

The company operates two primary business segments:

1. Seafood Processing and Export: Processing and export of a wide range of shrimp and value-added shrimp products, including raw frozen, cooked frozen, and IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) shrimp.

2. Grain Ethanol Segment: Operated through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Coastal Biotech Private Ltd, which has developed a grain-based ethanol plant in Odisha with an installed capacity of 198 KLPD (kiloliters per day).

Seafood Processing Units in Andhra Pradesh:

  • Unit II: Located in Yelamachili, Visakhapatnam. Includes Plate Freezer (14 MTPD), IQF (25 MTPD), Cooker (10 MTPD).
  • Unit III: Located in Kakinada SEZ, East Godavari. Includes Plate Freezer (15.9 MTPD), IQF Raw (15 MTPD), IQF Breaded (10 MTPD), Cooker (15 MTPD).

Other Facilities:

  • Ethanol Plant: Operated by Coastal Biotech Pvt Ltd in Odisha. Grain-based production with a capacity of 198 KLPD.
  • Captive Solar Power Plant: 3.6MW capacity located in Andhra Pradesh.
