Quarterly Performance Overview
Revenue increased by 24.1% year-over-year to ₹31.39 crore from ₹25.30 crore in Q2 FY26. EBITDA improved to ₹3.38 crore from ₹2.12 crore YoY. The company reported a profit after tax of ₹0.69 crore compared to a loss of ₹0.57 crore in the same quarter last year.
The improvement was driven by higher volumes and realizations in both domestic and export markets. Performance was constrained by disruptions on sea routes that delayed raw material shipments and increased raw material and logistics costs. Higher realizations helped offset a significant portion of this impact.
Business Development
During the quarter, the company continued its focus on the EV and solar sectors within its magnetics business and added a new customer.
Product Development
Cosmo developed and commercialized several new powders for EV, automotive, telecommunications, and solar applications. These new powders offer improved technical characteristics including lower power loss, higher saturation flux density, higher permeability, and improved frequency response.
Management Commentary
Mr. Pankaj Poddar, Director of Cosmo Ferrites Ltd., stated: "Revenue and EBITDA grew this quarter on the strength of better realisations, even as sea route disruptions delayed raw material shipments and pushed up input and logistics costs. We continue to expand our customer base, strengthen our focus on EV and solar, and remain committed to operational excellence and long-term value for our stakeholders."
