Dana Q2 2026 Results and Outlook Update

Dana Incorporated (NYSE:DAN) posted second‑quarter 2026 results that surpassed revenue expectations and prompted an upgrade to its full‑year outlook, lifting the stock 4% in after‑hours trading.

The company recorded adjusted earnings per share of $0.19, missing the consensus estimate of $0.66, while revenue reached $2.01 billion, exceeding the consensus forecast of $1.94 billion and representing a 4% increase over the $1.94 billion reported in the same quarter last year. Management attributed the revenue growth to higher demand across its end‑markets, pricing actions, and favorable currency translation effects.

For the full year 2026, Dana raised its revenue guidance to a range of $7.65 billion to $7.85 billion, with a midpoint of $7.75 billion that is above the prior consensus of $7.65 billion. The adjusted EBITDA outlook was also increased by roughly $25 million to a range of $800 million to $850 million. However, the full‑year adjusted EPS guidance of $1.75 to $2.25 falls short of the analyst consensus of $2.44, with a midpoint of $2.00.

Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter climbed to $207 million, delivering a 10.3% margin compared with $147 million and a 7.6% margin in Q2 2025. The 270‑basis‑point margin improvement reflected cost‑saving initiatives, operational efficiency gains, and pricing actions.

Dana repurchased 1.2 million shares during the quarter, returning $44 million to shareholders, and announced a plan to execute an additional $200 million of share repurchases before the end of the year. The company also confirmed that its planned combination with Eaton’s Mobility business remains on track for completion in the first quarter of 2027.

"Dana continues to execute our strategy with discipline and consistency, delivering another quarter of strong margin expansion while advancing our long‑term growth initiatives," said Byron Foster, Chief Executive Officer.
