Q1 FY27 Financial Performance (Consolidated)
The company reported strong Q1 FY27 results with revenue of ₹2,578 crore, representing 36% year-on-year growth from ₹1,890 crore in Q1 FY26 and 22% quarter-on-quarter growth from ₹2,120 crore in Q4 FY26.
EBITDA stood at ₹554 crore with EBITDA margin of 21%, showing significant improvement from 11% in Q1 FY26 and 18% in Q4 FY26. PAT surged to ₹345 crore, up 207% YoY from ₹112 crore and 57% QoQ from ₹220 crore. PAT margin improved to 13% from 6% in Q1 FY26 and 10% in Q4 FY26. Basic & diluted EPS was ₹25.30 compared to ₹8.23 in Q1 FY26 and ₹16.11 in Q4 FY26.
Segmental Performance
Advanced Intermediates: EBIT of ₹67 crore, representing 100% QoQ growth from ₹34 crore and 89% YoY growth from ₹35 crore. EBIT margin improved to 8% from 5% in Q4 FY26 and 6% in Q1 FY26.
Phenolics: Delivered record quarterly performance with revenue of ₹1,775 crore and EBIT of ₹418 crore, showing 46% QoQ growth from ₹287 crore and 254% YoY growth from ₹118 crore. EBIT margin improved to 24% from 20% in Q4 FY26 and 9% in Q1 FY26.
Operational Highlights
Q1 FY27 performance was driven by improved sales realization, proactive procurement strategy, uninterrupted plant operations, favorable product spreads, firm domestic realizations, and benefits from recent integration initiatives. The company maintained high operating rates across the Phenolics chain through proactive feedstock management.
Strategic Initiatives and Expansion
Polycarbonate Project: India's first integrated Polycarbonate plant (165,000 MT/year capacity) is progressing with plant dismantling at Stade, Germany underway and partial equipment received at Dahej site. Total commitment for the project is approximately ₹2,900 crore. Major OSBL equipment ordering completed, contractor mobilized, and civil infrastructure activities underway.
HyCO Plant: Signed long-term contract with leading player to set up dedicated HyCO plant ensuring reliable supply of critical raw materials. Commissioning targeted in 2028, aligned with DCTL's Polycarbonate project timeline.
Integration Initiatives: Deepening capabilities across nitration and hydrogenation platforms, adding nitric acid manufacturing capacities, with imminent commissioning of specialty agrochem and multi-purpose plants for specialty products.
Sustainability and Cost Optimization
Renewable energy investments delivered approximately ₹4.5 crore in cost savings during Q1 FY27. The company is accelerating transition towards renewable energy with plan to shift 60-70% of energy requirement to green sources. Secured short and long-term RE Power Purchase Agreements expected to save estimated ₹20 crore annually.
