Management Commentary and Outlook
Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Aditya Jajodia cited a healthy start to FY27 driven by operational efficiencies and price normalization.
Ductile Iron (DI) Pipes Segment: The market remained subdued due to slower government order flows. However, government initiatives like Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0, AMRUT 2.0, and river interlinking projects (Ken-Betwa, Polavaram) are expected to create a meaningful demand pipeline over the medium to long term. JBIL is positioned to ramp up its 5.5 lakh TPA capacity as demand improves.
Specialized Ferro Alloys Segment: This segment continues to witness strong momentum, with realizations showing an increasing trend over the past five quarters and healthy volumes.
Overall Strategy (Jai Balaji 2.0): The objective is to focus on value-added products (DI Pipes & Specialized Ferro Alloys) and maintain a strong balance sheet. The revenue contribution from these products is currently 40%-45%. The company is also focusing on cost reduction strategies.
