Kontron confirms 2026 revenue forecast after Q2 growth
Kontron, the Austria‑based Internet of Things technology firm, posted a slight year‑over‑year increase in second‑quarter revenue together with higher adjusted EBITDA, while reaffirming its full‑year financial targets. The company confirmed its 2026 revenue guidance at slightly above €1,607 million and indicated an organic revenue growth rate of 8 % after accounting for previously sold businesses. It also kept its 2026 adjusted EBITDA outlook at €225 million, before deducting €25 million earmarked for restructuring expenses.
Revenue growth in the quarter was driven primarily by the Cybersolutions, Aerospace & Defense, and Transportation divisions, whereas sales in the GreenTec division fell sharply. Kontron reported a record order backlog amounting to €2.75 billion. Ongoing restructuring in the GreenTec division has led to job reductions, with the company expecting the associated cost savings to materialise from 2027 onward.
For the first half of the year, Kontron recorded adjusted net income of €48.80 million. Operating cash flow was negative during the period, reflecting a temporary inventory build‑up amid continued chip supply challenges.
