Kontron Q2 2026 Update and Guidance Confirmation

Kontron, the Austria‑based Internet of Things technology company, announced that its second‑quarter 2026 revenue grew modestly year‑over‑year and that adjusted EBITDA improved, allowing it to reaffirm its full‑year financial targets. The firm confirmed its 2026 revenue outlook of slightly above €1,607 million and reiterated an organic revenue growth target of 8 % after accounting for businesses that have been sold. The 2026 adjusted EBITDA target remains at €225 million, exclusive of an anticipated €25 million in restructuring expenses.

Revenue growth in the quarter was driven by the Cybersolutions, Aerospace & Defense and Transportation divisions, while the GreenTec division experienced a sharp decline in sales. Despite the slowdown in GreenTec, Kontron reported a record order backlog of €2.75 billion. Ongoing restructuring of the GreenTec unit has resulted in job reductions, and the company expects the associated cost savings to materialise from 2027 onward.

For the first half of the fiscal year, Kontron posted an adjusted net income of €48.80 million. Operating cash flow was negative during the period, reflecting a temporary inventory build‑up linked to ongoing semiconductor supply challenges.
