Lotus Bakeries H1 2026 Financial Results

Lotus Bakeries reported a 24% increase in first‑half net profit, reaching €98.1 million (US$113.1 million) compared with €79.4 million in the same period last year. Revenue rose 14% to €749.1 million, while underlying operating profit (EBIT) climbed 19.4% to €131.0 million, improving the underlying EBIT margin to 17.5%.

The Biscoff brand drove more than 20% growth in both revenue and volumes, with Europe delivering the largest revenue increase and the United States emerging as the biggest growth market. The company's Thailand Biscoff plant is now fully operational and performing at the upper end of expectations.

Management indicated that foreign‑exchange headwinds are expected to ease in the second half of the year, assuming current dollar and sterling rates persist, but warned that ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and climate‑related risks could continue to pressure costs into 2027.

Lotus Bakeries reaffirmed confidence in its long‑term growth outlook and announced a capital investment programme of at least €500 million between 2026 and 2030 to expand Biscoff production capacity in Belgium, the United States and Thailand. Combined capex for 2026 and 2027 is projected to exceed €250 million.
